A brochure site becoming a transacting marketplace.
ON-SITE Crane and Heavy Equipment Rentals runs real machines out of Phoenix, and until now its website could only ask you to call. I am building the storefront that takes signed, paid orders online, architected to become the MachineryMaps marketplace without being built twice.
Real machines. No way to order one.
ON-SITE rents cranes and heavy equipment to contractors who need a machine on site tomorrow. The business worked, but the website was a WordPress brochure: browse a few photos, then pick up the phone. Every quote, insurance certificate, agreement, and deposit moved by phone and email.
The owner did not need marketing. He needed infrastructure that transacts.
One product, built once.
The storefront and the future marketplace are the same codebase, so nothing gets developed twice. ON-SITE launches as vendor number one, and the platform opens to other operators once the first is transacting.
- Equipment listings with real availability, replacing the brochure
- Quote capture that routes into the CRM instead of a voicemail
- Insurance upload and verification built into the order flow
- E-signature on rental agreements, deposits held on card
- Owner approval step before any charge fires
- Order state machine designed for multi-vendor from day one
Vendor one of many.
The endgame is MachineryMaps: a multi-vendor marketplace for heavy equipment rental, where contractors browse real inventory across operators and book it the way they book anything else. ON-SITE proves the model with its own fleet first.
This is the engagement that shows the product side of the work: not funnels, but software that takes money.
